I have never met a character I despise more than Cath. I cannot even imagine being so evil and thankful I have never run into anyone so horrible in my lifetime (thus far). On a completely different note, this book touched on so many points or times in my life. I just returned from a long Hawaiian vacation, my son (13) moved to Germany to play soccer/football, I have been to Scotland, England and watched a match against West Ham (although it was Tottenham) and we have had private tours of the stadiums. We have frequented Spain and Italy on many holidays. Needless to say, I could easily picture the places and towns described in the book. I highly recommend this book and pray no one meets someone like Cath, let alone marries a person like this.Product details

This book is a comical but heartbreaking take on a relationship gone bad. Dave and Cath's marriage is a troubled one from the start that only continues to worsen until there is nothing to salvage. There are many instances of deceit and callousness, mostly on Cath's part. While the telling of the tale is humorous on the surface, the underlying feel is a bit sad and dismal. You can't help but feel bad for Dave and hope he finds his way to true happiness. Overall, it was a good read and would definitely recommend it!
